Bradford advances to championship in Olean tourney

OLEAN, N.Y. -ðMicah Irwin scored the winning goal to lead
Bradford (1-0) to a 2-1 overtime win over Jamestown in the first
round of the Olean Tournament on Thursday.

Assisting on Irwin’s goal was Adam Feura.

“That was a well-played ball by Feura and Irwin. It was a great
goal,” Bradford coach Wes Lohrman commented.

Feura scored the other goal on an assist from Nate Tingley.

In goal for the Owls was Micah Ridley with seven saves.

For Jamestown, Jon Tucker scored the lone goal on an assist from
Rob Sorg.

In the other first-round game, Hornell beat Olean High 2-1 in
overtime.

Bradford will play Hornell at 4 p.m. Saturday in the title
game.

In JV action, Bradford won 2-1.

Scoring for Bradford were Matt Bundy and Andy Thomson.
