Mike Asel of Kane captured the Street Stock feature at the Hill
Raceway on Sunday night.
Asel held off the charge of Chris Austin for his first win of
the season at the Hill.
Points leader Rich Michael of Ischua, N.Y., won the Sportsman
feature. He took over the lead on lap 11 and held off Billy
Peterson at the checkers for his fifth triumph of the season.
In the Thunder Stocks, Salamanca, N.Y.’s Richie Wojtowics took
the checkered flag. He grabbed the lead on lap 10 and held off Pat
Yohe for the win. While in victory lane, Wojtowics dropped to one
knee and asked his girlfriend Beth Erickson to marry him. Erickson
accepted his proposal.
Wojtowics also won the King of the Hill race.
Scott Fuller led wire to wire in winning the Mini Stock feature.
It was his first win of the season at the Hill.
Point leader Jeff Ganoung Jr. of Olean, N.Y., won the Charger
feature. He took the lead on lap two and held on for a narrow win
over Brandon Buchanan.
