Stauffer fails in bid to make PGA Championship

VERONA, N.Y. – Kirk Stauffer of Bradford, Pa., failed in his bid
to qualify for the PGA Championship.

On Sunday, Stauffer carded 77 (5-over par), finishing 1-over in
the PGA Professional National Championship at Turning Stone Resort
& Casino.

Stauffer, the Pine Acres Country Club pro, finished tied for
30th. He went into Sunday’s final round in a six-way tie for
10th.

The top 20 finishers earned berths in the PGA Championship,
which will be played Aug. 17-20 in Chicago.
