ST. MARYS – Bradford advanced to the semifinals of the Jim
Werner Memorial American Legion Baseball Tournament with an 11-4
victory over Ridgway at Berwin Park on Friday.
Rocco Lentz posted a complete-game mound win, scattering seven
hits, fanning five and walking just one.
Opposing Lentz, Seth Streich and Joe Renard gave up 10 hits,
issued seven bases on balls and whiffed two.
Mike Pascarella’s two-run single sparked the offense for
Bradford (7-2 overall, 4-0 league). He wound up 2-for-3, while Nick
Foster finished up 2-for-2.
Tobias Streich (3-for-4) accounted for three of Ridgway’s runs
with a two-run dinger and an RBI double. Jeremy Wietzle also
cracked a double.
Bradford faces the St. Marys/Johnsonburg winner at 4:30
today.
