Rob and Mike Kemick of Bradford continue to dominate local
walleye tournaments.
Their latest accomplishment came Sunday afternoon bringing in a
limit of walleyes weighing 9.82 pounds to win the Kinzua Outdoors
Charity Walleye Tournament on the Kinzua Reservoir.
“This tourney is for a good cause and I like fishing it,” said
Rob.
This is the third first-place finish for the Kemick brothers
this season. In addition to their success the Kemicks have had
several top 10 finishes this season in other local walleye
tournaments.
“Pre-fishing has been the key for us,” Rob pointed out.
The top five teams were awarded plaques and cash prizes.
In second place was the team of Ed and Tim Yohe of Bradford with
8.06 pounds, third place went to Ed Coudriet and Preston Miller
(7.90 pounds), fourth place to Ray and Jeff Davis (7.83 pounds) and
fifth place to DeWayne Cawley and Steve Colley of Bradford (7.64
pounds).
The big fish was caught by the Davis brothers tipping the scales
at 2.63 pounds.
A total of 16 teams weighed a limit of walleyes.
Kinzua Outdoors has donated thousands of dollars to CARE for
Children the past two years.
“We have worked real hard to grow this circuit to where it is
today and I am honored to donate thousands of dollars the last two
years,” said Tom Means, director of Kinzua Outdoors. “I look
forward to doing it many more years to come.”
Means thanked all the local sponsors that helped make this event
possible.
“I was honored to have CARE for Children director Tina Martin
attend the event and speak to the crowd,” Means added.
The next Kinzua Outdoors events are “Take a Vet Fishing” on Aug.
