A 6-year-old boy died when an all-terrain vehicle rolled on top
of him Tuesday night.

According to Kane-based state police on Wednesday, Devon DuPont
of Lewis Run died after a child-sized ATV he was driving rolled
over onto himself. The accident occurred at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on
Bingham Road.

Troopers said he was transported by ambulance to Bradford
Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead on
arrival.

According to McKean County Coroner Mike Cahill, the boy died of
fatal injuries from the rollover. He said a more precise cause of
death will be available later after more information is
obtained.

According to reports Tuesday night, a medical helicopter was
called, but then canceled.

Police were assisted at the scene by the Lafayette Township
Volunteer Fire Department, Priority Care Ambulance and Medic
