    died Friday (March 10, 2006) at his home after a brief illness.

    Thursday (March 9, 2006) in the Bradford Manor following a brief

    ELDRED – Paul H. Lasher, 85, of Mechanic Street, died Thursday
    (March 9, 2006) at his residence following a long illness. Funeral
    arrangements are under the direction of the Frame Funeral

    KANE – Frances Sirianni, 89, of 426 Chase St., died Thursday
    (March 9, 2006) at Kane Community Hospital. Arrangements are under

    ST. MARYS – Florence L. Samick, 79, a resident of Pinecrest
    Manor and formerly of Brusselles Street, died Thursday morning
    (March 9, 2006) at the Pinecrest Manor after a lengthy illness.
    Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Lynch-Radkowski

    EMPORIUM – Lee E. Peno, 76, of Sinnamahoning, died Wednesday
    (March 8, 2006) in the emergency room at Elk Regional Health
    Center, St. Marys. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of

    SHINGLEHOUSE – Linda Kaye Leilous, 57, of Horse Run Road,
    Shinglehouse, died Thursday (March 9, 2006) at the Olean (N.Y.)
    General Hospital after a long illness. Funeral arrangements are
    under the direction of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral

    Md., formerly of Austin, died Thursday (March 2, 2006) at her home

    GALETON – C. JoAnn Pagano, 73, of Palm Harbor, Fla., formerly of
    Galeton, died Monday (March 6, 2006) in Palm Harbor. Arrangements
    are under the direction of the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation

    SPENCERPORT, N.Y. – Robert F. Kriz, 81, of Los Angeles, Calif.,
    formerly of Rochester, died Saturday (March 4, 2006). Arrangements
    are under the direction of Walker Brothers Co. Funeral Home Inc.,

    RIDGWAY – Violet E. Gardner, 76, of 23 Penn Ave., Ridgway, died
    Tuesday afternoon (March 7, 2006) in Elk Regional Health System.

    ST. MARYS – Albert G. Hassenetter, 87, of 229 Evers Ave., St.
    Marys, died Tuesday evening (March 7, 2006) at his residence.

    KANE – Melvin D. Swanson, 86, of 6769 Highland Road died Sunday
    evening (March 5, 2006) in the Kane Community Hospital. Funeral

    ST. MARYS – Helen B. Solic, 76, of 538 Walnut St., died Sunday
    evening (March 5, 2006) at Elk Haven Nursing Home after a lengthy
    illness. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the
    Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home.[neWLine]

    COUDERSPORT – Ruth E. Stuckey, 80, of Emporium, died Sunday
    (March 5, 2006) at the home of her daughter, Patricia Troutman of
    Roulette. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the
    Fickinger Funeral Home.[neWLine]

    DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Carrie Gocella McCargar, 89, of Daytona
    Beach, died Thursday (March 2, 2006) in the Indigo Manor. She was
    born in Bradford, Pa. She is survived by one sister, Martha Pessia
    in California, and many nieces and nephews.[neWLine]

    ST. MARYS – Christopher J. Forster, 18, of 980 Johnsonburg Road,
    died Monday morning (March 6, 2006) at his residence after an
    illness of the past six weeks. Funeral arrangements are under the

    ULYSSES – Edward W. Bailey, 55, of Coudersport, formerly of
    Genesee, died Monday (March 6, 2006) in his home. Funeral
    arrangements are under the direction of the Olney Funeral Home

    Louise E. Ackley, 79, of 44 Southgate Road, Bradford, died
    Sunday (March 5, 2006) in the Select Hospital in Erie. Funeral

    ST. MARYS – James J. Schaberl, 83, of 428 Evers Ave., died
    Sunday morning (March 5, 2006) at Elk Haven Nursing Home following
    a lengthy illness. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of
    the Lynch-Green Funeral Home Inc.[neWLine]

    YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Sophie J. Poklemba, 79, died Friday morning
    (March 3, 2006) from an extended illness. Funeral arrangements are
    under the direction of the Rossi Brothers Funeral Home,

    ELDRED – Eleanor J. Kindt, 74, formerly of
    Elverson, died Saturday (March 4, 2006) at Sena-Kean Manor in
    Smethport. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Frame

    ST. MARYS – John G. Gerg, 90, of 408 Center
    St., died Sunday morning (March 5, 2006) at his home unexpectedly.

    ST. MARYS – John A. “”Lefty”” Salter, 68, of
    515 S. St. Marys St., died Saturday morning (March 4, 2006) at Elk
    Regional Health Center following a lengthy illness. Funeral
