Fresh fallen snow rests on this rustic barn which still bears
the name “Irish Acres”, located in Limestone on Quinn Road.
Representing remnants of early settlers, it was originally built
by Tom Quinn, on Quinn Road. Quinn was the first to settle in that
part of Limestone. He purchased the parcel of land to set up
farming with his new wife the early 1900’s after moving to America
from his homeland in County Mayo, Ireland.
The barn still stands a century later, eventhough the land has
changed ownership.
