CARE for Children seeking new executive director

CARE for Children is seeking a new executive director, as Ann
Feightner is leaving the agency.

CARE office manager Valorie Coast confirmed Feightner’s
impending departure on Tuesday, but added that Feightner would be
out of the office and unavailable for comment until the end of the
week.

Feightner, an Olean, N.Y., native, was named executive director
of McKean County CARE for Children in March of 2002.

In 2003, the agency officially changed its name – with each
letter to stand for a service provided: consultation, adaptation,
rehabilitation and education – to better reflect what the agency
offers.

According to an advertisement for Feightner’s position, the
executive director is responsible for budgeting, strategic
planning, human resource activity, program planning and evaluation,
community collaboration and financial development.

Prior to CARE, Feightner had worked as director of external
affairs of the YWCA of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County, Md. She
had also worked as director of Almost Family Adult Day Services in
Arnold, Md., and as a human resources employment specialist with
The Rehabilitation Center of Olean.
