Jones sets scoring mark

COUDERSPORT – Ryan Jones became the all-time leading scorer in
Coudersport boys basketball history Thursday night.

Jones scored a game-high 26 points to lead the Falcons (20-2) to
a 65-46 win over Northern Potter. He needed 25 points to set the
record. Jones now has 1,815 points.

The previous record was 1,814 held by Mike Wetzel.

“Ryan thanked his teammates and hugged his parents,” Coudy coach
Chris Fink said. “It was a good night in front of the home
crowd.”

Jake Acker added 20 points and had five assists for the
Falcons.

“We struggled a little bit offensively early,” Fink admitted.
“We had some careless turnovers. Jake came up big, hitting some
threes for us.”

On the boards, John Hau had nine rebounds. Sean Mickle had five
assists.

Tyler Kalasnik (14 points), Tyler Ransom (10) and Chuck Favinger
(10) led NoPo.

Coudy is at Port Allegany on Monday.
