Panthers top Medaille

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Pitt-Bradford used an early second-half spurt to
put away Medaille 67-55 in an AMCC men’s basketball game
Tuesday.

“The first 12 minutes of the second half we had a good run,”
Pitt-Bradford coach Andy Moore said.

The Panthers (10-12, 7-8) led by 23 points with seven minutes
left in the game.

However, Moore pointed out, “We finished poorly.”

The Panthers led by one at the intermission.

Dan Thomas led UPB with 23 points. Ryan Race (12 points), Shawn
Spindler (11) and Jon Hannon (11) were also in double figures for
the Panthers.

“He (Thomas) shot it well,” Moore noted. “We have three games
left – all at home. We still have a chance to make the conference
tourney and get a home game. The last three games are very
important for us.”

UPB hosts Penn State Behrend on Saturday.
