CLEARFIELD – The Bradford Lady Owls continue on their win one,
lose one streak as they fell to the Lady Bisons of Clearfield 48-42
in a District 9 League match-up Friday.
“We did not shoot well,” admitted BHS coach Doug Llyod.
The Lady Owls shot a lukewarm 20-for-53 (37%) from the
field.
“Our shots just wouldn’t fall for us tonight,” Lloyd said.
Nikki Siffrinn was the lone Lady Owl in double figures scoring
17 points and dishing out five assists.
“Nikki, as always, played very strong for us,” praised
Lloyd.
Defensively, Whitney Cline led the way with 12 boards while
Shelly Fuhrman brought down eight.
Lloyd stated, “Cline played a good defensive game inside but she
just couldn’t get a break.
“Clearfield came out really well and they earned the win
tonight,” added Lloyd.
“We tied it up in the fourth and had a chance to take the lead,
but they were able to hit the shot when they needed them.”
Once again at the .500-mark, the Lady Owls (10-10) will travel
to Coudersport to face the 18-1 Lady Falcons on Wednesday.
