DUBOIS – Libby Cavagnaro and Ellie Imhof each quadrupled to
power Bradford over DuBois 114-68 in girls swimming action
Friday.
Cavagnaro earned first place finishes in the 200 medley relay,
the 200 free relay, the 400 free relay and the 200 IM, while Imhof
was victorious in the 100 fly and the 100 back and was a member of
the 200 free and the 400 free relays.
Celia Reiley (50 free, 200 free relay, 400 free relay) tripled
for the Lady Owls (5-2), while Katlyn Nelson (200 medley relay, 100
breaststroke) and Katie Slavinski (200 free relay, 400 free relay)
each doubled.
“We’re really pleased with some of the strength that our kids
showed tonight,” said Pam Digel, BHS coach. “They’re swimming very
strong and look very healthy in the water.
“We some very important performances that we needed to see from
Bethany Russell, Elizabeth Putnam, Janie Reiley and Leslie
Shallop,” Digel noted.
In the boys meet, DuBois turned back the Owls (2-4-1)
119-50.
Alex Goodman picked up the lone first for Bradford, winning the
100 free 52.53 seconds.
“We had some great time drops from Vince Pascarella, Matt
Schwab, Matt Anderson and Steve Cavagnaro,” Digel added.
The Bradford finners will hit the pool again Monday hosting
Brookville.
