UPB women fall at Behrend

ERIE – Penn State Behrend (5-5, 2-2) cruised to a 70-49 win over
Pitt-Bradford (4-7, 2-2) in AMCC women’s basketball action
Saturday.

The Lady Panthers’ effort included Taiasha Brown’s 16
points.

Leading the Lady Lions were Jessica Serafin with 17 points,
Rachel Slomski with 13 and Julia Andrus with 11.

“Behrend outplayed us at every aspect of the game,” admitted UPB
coach Daly Fuller. “We executed our game plan for the first 15
minutes. Then we stopped doing the little things.

“The biggest disappointment was our rebounding. That is
something that we usually do well. Rebounding is desire and effort.
We gave up 21 offensive boards. They got 25 points off second or
third chance opportunities. Behrend played well tonight. They were
the better ball club.”
