Panthers fall at Behrend

ERIE – The Pitt-Bradford Panthers suffered a 71-48 loss to Penn
State Behrend in AMCC men’s basketball action Saturday.

“We were completely out of sync,” lamented UPB coach Andy Moore.
“We were just awful shooting. For some reason, our heads just
weren’t in the game.”

Behrend (10-2, 4-1) outrebounded the Panthers 42-26 – getting 31
on the defensive boards.

“We shot 28 percent in the first half and 31 for the game, and
that’s not going to get it done,” Moore declared. “Ryan Race was
0-for-9 from the field and he’s been shooting 59 percent and
averaging 25 points a game. Tonight he had two points. That’s a
huge difference.”

Rob Copley and Louis Benton had 10 points apiece for the
Panthers (6-6, 3-2).
