DUBOIS – Whitney Cline sank 13 points and grabbed 12 boards to
power Bradford to a 57-44 win over DuBois in a District 9 League
game Friday.
“It was a great team win,” announced BHS coach Doug Lloyd. “This
was our sixth straight win and we are getting better every game.
The big difference now is that the kids are gaining confidence and
believing more.
“We lost some close games early in the season,” Lloyd professed.
“We are starting to play well as a team and every night it is
someone different helping out.”
Also pacing the Lady Owls (7-5 overall and 3-3 in District 9)
was Nikki Siffrinn (13 points, 6 assists).
“Nikki handled the ball well,” stated Lloyd.
The Lady Owls made 21-of-51 field goals and were 13-of-16 at the
foul line.
“We shot well from the line,” Lloyd noted. “DuBois had to foul
us in the end but we made our free throws and sealed the win.”
Defensively for the Owls Cline had five steals.
“We did well on defense,” Lloyd proclaimed. “Katie White and
Tricia Copeland sparked us comming off the bench. DuBois was big
inside so we pressed on defense.”
For DuBois Kelsi Wilcox had 18 marks and Chelsea Senior had 12
tallies.
“DuBois played a heck of a game,” Lloyd commented.
The Lady Owls return to action Tuesday hosting Elk County
Catholic.
“Our schedule is going to get tough now,” said Lloyd.
