Lady Owls win third straight

ST. MARYS – The Bradford Lady Owls extended their winning streak
to three games with a 45-35 District 9 League win over St. Marys on
Wednesday night.

The Lady Owls used 11 points from Nikki Siffrinn and 10 from
Shelly Fuhrman to improve to 5-6.

“It was a battle,” Bradford coach Doug Lloyd commented. “We were
streaky tonight. We didn’t shoot real well. We’d get up a little
bit then let them back in.

“We shot 29 percent from the field, which isn’t great. Turnovers
kept them in the game.”

Bradford has started to turn around its season after winning the
Port Allegany Tournament on Dec. 26-27.

The Lady Owls led 9-7 after one quarter and built the lead to
26-22 at halftime. They outscored the Lady Dutch in the third and
fourth quarters.

Morgan Pasi led the Lady Dutch with 16 tallies.
