BROOKVILLE – Nikki Siffrinn had 17 points, eight assists and
five steals to send Bradford to a 61-26 win over
Philipsburg-Osceola in the consolation game of the Brookville
Tournament on Saturday.
Whitney Cline grabbed 10 rebounds and Liz Keller had five steals
for the Lady Owls (1-0), who were forced to pull out of their first
round clash against Clarion-Limestone because of Friday’s weather
conditions.
“Everybody played well,” BAHS coach Doug Lloyd said. “It was a
great team effort. Everybody got to play and they played hard. The
girls played very well.
“With the exception of one player, everybody scored. The girls
hustled all over the floor and our defense was good.”
In the championship game, Brookville beat Clarion-Limestone
49-45.
Bradford returns to action Tuesday hosting Otto-Eldred.
“It will only get tougher from here,” Lloyd admitted. “It looks
like we will be competitive this year.”
