Butler leads Owls past Dutch

Steve Butler scored a hat trick as Bradford turned back St.
Marys 4-2 in high school boys soccer Tuesday.

Also scoring for the Owls (12-5-1) was Nate Tingley, while Adam
Feura earned three assists and Stephen Tingley picked up one
assist.

Micah Ridley was in goal for the Owls, turning away five
shots.

“Our guys played very well,” declared Wes Lohrman, BHS head
coach. “Every time we controlled the ball and passed it up field we
scored.

“We had a tendency at some points to get trapped into playing
long-ball and that didn’t work to our advantage. That’s not the
game we like to play, so when we settled it down we played
well.

“Stephen Tingley did an excellent job contributing at the
midfield position today.”

The Owls are idle until the District 9 playoffs begin at a site,
day and time to be determined.
