NEW BETHLEHEM – Megan Little, Lindsay Sherman and Katie White
scored in Bradford’s 3-1 soccer win over Redbank Valley on
Saturday.
The win put Bradford at 10-7-1 on the season.
Collecting assists were Sherman and Little.
Hope Ruffner was in goal for the winners, making eight
saves.
“Katie White controlled the middle of the field for us,” BHS
coach Tony Doriguzzi said. “She was all over the place helping with
our defense as well as our attacking play.
“Megan Little and Lindsay Sherman were motivated in the second
half. They both had a goal, plus they assisted on each other’s
goal. They really worked well together.
“We were on Redbank’s side almost the entire first half but we
just couldn’t score a goal. I think everybody was still half asleep
from the two-hour journey to New Bethlehem. They woke up at the
half though and came out ready to score.
“We had 16 total shots on goal and probably 10 more that went
wide. Our attacking play keeps improving.”
Lacey Blose scored for Redbank Valley on an assist from Nadia
Kundick. Kim Goth and Sarah Faber were in goal, combining for 13
saves.
Bradford returns to action Tuesday hosting Ridgway (4 o’clock)
on Senior Recognition Night.
