ST. MARYS – Bradford High doubled up St. Marys 4-2 Thursday for
its fourth straight boys soccer win.
Nate Tingley’s two goals led the Owls, while Micah Irwin and
Steve Butler each added a goal.
Tingley, Butler and Patrick Morrisroe were credited with one
assist each.
In goal for the winners, Micah Ridley made 10 saves.
“I was very proud of how the guys played tonight,” emphasized
Wes Lohrman, BHS head coach. “They played a full 60 minutes. We
made two early mistakes, but quickly overcame them.
“We had an injured player who was unable to play today. Micah
Irwin stepped in to fill his position and everybody adjusted very
well.”
The Owls (5-3) host Wellsville, N.Y., on Monday.
In the junior varsity game, goals from Brett Butler, Matt
Anderson and Matt Bundy sent the Owls to a 3-2 win over the Dutch.
Butler also had an assist.
Andy Thomson and Zach Kinney come up with three saves each,
sharing time in goal for Bradford.
