Bradford turns back Brockway

BROCKWAY – Bradford High’s girls tennis team climbed back over
the .500 mark with its fourth victory in its last five matches – a
6-1 win over Brockway on Tuesday.

The Lady Owls are now 4-3 on the year.

“This was a really nice way to finish the first half of our
season,” enthused Sue Aljoe, BHS head coach. “I’m really happy with
our effort and progress. Hopefully, we will have built some
momentum going into the next part of our schedule.”

Bradford’s singles players – Melissa Simon, April Soriano, Kate
Cohen, Sara Eger and Erika Oliver – swept their singles matches in
the victory.

“Our singles players continue to get the job done and our No. 1
doubles team (Cara Costik and Shaylyn Wilson) came through with a
well-earned victory,” Aljoe emphasized. “All the teams are evenly
matched this year and we’ll have to keep improving if we want
continued success.”
