BHS boys soccer wins third straight

Bradford High rolled to its third straight boys soccer win,
defeating Punxsutawney 7-1 Tuesday.

Steve Butler and Patrick Morrisroe had two goals each for the
Owls (4-3). Adam Feura, Alex Ita and Nate Tingley also scored for
the winners.

Butler was credited with two assists, while Tingley had one.

Micah Ridley was in the nets for most of the game, making five
saves and not allowing a goal.

Andy Thomson also had netminder duties, making two saves and
giving up one goal.

Donnie Ross scored on a penalty kick for the Chucks (1-5). Tony
Morrison was in goal, turning away four shots.

In the first half, Feura received a severe cut on his forehead,
according to BAHS coach Wes Lohrman. Feura was taken to the
hospital where he received a “considerable amount of stitches,”
Lohrman noted.

He will be sidelined a minimum of seven days, according to the
coach.

Overall, Lohrman said, “I was very pleased with how the team
came out and started the game. We started the way we ended Monday
(against Kane).

“We need to carry that momentum into our next group of games.
Today’s game was beneficial because the majority of our roster got
playing time. It was an important game for the growth and
development of all our players.”

The Owls visit St. Marys on Thursday.
