Butler’s goal lifts BHS

Steve Butler’s unassisted overtime goal sent Bradford to a 4-3
soccer win over Kane on Monday.

The win was the second straight for the Owls (3-3).

Butler tied the contest at 3-3 with an unassisted goal in the
83rd minute.

Adam Feura added two goals for the Owls. Nate Tingley assisted
on Feura’s second goal.

The game was a tale of two halves.

“In the first half we committed defensive mistakes,” BAHS coach
Wes Lohrman said. “Offensively, we did not take advantage of our
opportunities.”

The Owls trailed 3-0 at the half.

“In the second half we were a completely different team,”
Lohrman noted. “We were the team we know we could be. We took
control of the game.”

Micah Ridley was in goal for BAHS, making four saves.

Scoring for Kane were Sean Perry, Matt Sowa and Todd Long, while
Robert Mosier was credited with an assist.

Jacob Pusateri came up with eight saves minding the net for the
Wolves.

“We need to start out Tuesday (today) the way we finished
Monday,” Lohrman added. “We need to do that for 80 minutes. We need
to take that energy from the end of today and use it positively the
rest of the season.”

The Owls return to action today hosting Punxsutawney.
