The Bradford Owls fell to the Clearfield Bisons 6-1 in high
school soccer action Monday.
The lone Owls goal came off the foot of Steve Butler while Matt
Anderson was credited the assist.
“I was very pleased with how we played against Clearfield,” BHS
coach Wes Lohrman praised. “They are a very strong team.
“What it came down to was that we made six mistakes and they
were able to capitalize off each of those mistakes,” Lohrman
continued.
Scoring for the Bisons were John Lhota, Lucas Feathers, Alan
Baldwin, Michael Fannin, Jeff Knepp and Mark Auman. Two of
Clearfield’s goals came off penalty kicks.
Micah Ridley and Andy Thompson were in the net for the Owls
earning three saves apiece.
Lohrman added, “The whole team played aggressively the entire
game.”
Bradford is now 1-2.
In JV action, the Owls tied Clearfield 1-1. For Bradford, Nick
Rhinehardt earned an assist while Matt Bundy was credited with the
goal.
The Owls return to action Wednesday hosting DuBois.
