BHS boys notch soccer win

BROOKVILLE – Bradford High rebounded to post a 6-1 victory over
Brookville in high school boys soccer Thursday.

The Owls (1-1) fired 43 shots on goal and converted six of them
favorably.

Brookville scored on a corner kick after the ball “took an
unlucky bounce” off of a Bradford player into the Owls’ goal for
the Raiders’ lone goal.

Scoring for the Owls were Adam Feura, Steve Butler (twice), Nate
Tingley, Nick Palmer and Alex Ita.

Assists were credited to Ita, Tingley and Butler.

The Owls’ defense limited Brookville (0-2) to just seven shots
on goal, as Bradford keeper Micah Ridley made six saves.

“The team put together 80 complete minutes of soccer,” declared
Wes Lohrman, first-year BHS coach. “That’s what we’ve been working
on all week – to play a full game and not to give up at any
point.

“Everything we’ve been working on this week really came out in
this game. We are getting geared up and ready to go for
Clearfield.”

Bradford High will host the Bisons at 4 p.m. Monday.
