Elk County Catholic swept all seven matches in an easy 7-0 win
over Bradford in high school girls tennis action Wednesday.
“Despite the lopsided final score, I thought the girls played
very well today,” commented Sue Aljoe, BHS head coach. “Elk County
Catholic has such an impressive program. Year after year, they are
so tough but we hung with them today.
“Every singles match was competitive. The rallies were long and
the games were close. The girls are working hard and gaining
valuable experience. Everyone is working hard and doing their
best.”
Bradford is now 1-2 on the year and is on the road against
Punxsutawney today, while Elk County Catholic (3-0) will play host
to Brockway today at Benzinger Park.
