Clearfield closed out a regular season sweep of Bradford in high school swimming action on Friday at the Pitt-Bradford Aquatic Center.

In the boys portion of the meet, the Bisons posted a 112-47 win, while in the girls competition the Lady Bisons swam to a 121-49 victory.

“Clearfield is an exceptionally strong team,” said Katrina Placer, Bradford coach.

Despite the losses, which left the Lady Owls with a 2-7 regular season record and the Owls at 0-9, Placer was pleased several individual efforts.

Jared Schwab was a double winner for the Owls with his first place in the 100 backstroke and as a member of Bradford’s winning Free 400 Relay team.

Joining him on that squad were Max Shanks, Lucas. Smith and Alejandro Monseratt.

Among the Bradford girls, Donna Good finished first in the 50 free.

“We saw some nice times from many of our swimmers,” Placer continued. “We’re in a good place as we prepare for our championship meet.”

The District 9 championship meet will be held in St. Marys on March 4-5.
