Former Cameron County High School standout Nate Sestina signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets early Thursday morning.
Sestina, who played college basketball at Bucknell University before playing as a grad transfer for the Kentucky Wildcats, went undrafted during Wednesday evening’s NBA Draft, but quickly signed in the hours following.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year deal with a team at the league’s minimum salary, but it does not come with compensation protection. This type of contract can also include a signing bonus of between $5,000 and $50,000, but that is not guaranteed.
Sestina, the 2014 Big 30 Player of the Year and an All-Patriot League selection at Bucknell, averaged 5.8 points per game at UK and 17.4 at Cameron County.
