wine walk

Pam Watson and Cody Reid sample some wine, poured by Kelly Jameson at Copy Connection, during the 2019 summer wine walk in Bradford.

The Summer Wine Walk will be held from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 8.

“The Downtown Bradford Business District Authority is pleased to announce after much deliberation we will be hosting the summer wine walk as planned,” said Michelle Baxter, chair of the Wine Walk Committee. “After much thought we have decided we can do this safely with a few extra rules and regulations and still have a lot of fun. We will be hosting 8 wineries in our Historic Downtown. This year we have a new winery joining us. We decided to go with less wineries this go around due to we can only sell 200 tickets. We usually sell 250-350 tickets.”

Tickets will not be sold at the door this summer.

Tickets are now available at Michelle’s Flair for Hair located at 104 Main St. There will not be online ticket sales. Organizers apologize for the inconvenience, but when someone buys a ticket that person also picks a start time.

This wine walk will send 25 people through per half hour. Ticket buyers will need to know what time they want to start — between 3:30 and 7 p.m. — at the time they buy tickets.

The ticket cost is $20, or $25 if there are tickets left the day of the Wine Walk. Proceeds from the event go toward the Downtown Bradford Business District Authority, which serves as the promotions/event committee of the Main Street program.

The committee said Northwest Savings Bank offers continued support of Bradford Wine Walk events.
