In Journey Health System’s (JHS) board meeting on Thursday, the board appointed Guy Signor, Journey’s current chief executive officer as president, effective immediately.
Since July 2019, the organization’s previous president and CEO Richard Seager assisted with the transition after announcing his plans to retire.
“Guy is a very capable leader since he’s been here for many years in various positions that groomed him for this opportunity,” stated Gregory LaRocca, JHS board chairman. “He’ll be a great president and CEO and we look forward to working with him for many more years.”
In his new role, Signor hopes to continue to increase access to behavioral health services and expand Journey Health System.
“First and foremost, I wish to thank the board for their confidence and acknowledge my predecessors Rick Seager, Tom Urban, Jack Goga and Bill McCarthy for their mentorship and vision,” Signor said. “I look forward to working with the excellent team of professionals at JHS and our affiliates to fulfill our mission to provide the best behavioral health care to our clients throughout Pennsylvania.”
Signor, a Bradford native, joined JHS in 1996 then known as The Children’s Home of Bradford. In his recent role as the chief operating officer and vice president of institutional advancement, Signor was responsible for human resources, compliance, accreditation, facilities, information technology, fund development, marketing and communications.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master’s degree from St. Bonaventure University. Signor has served on community committees including 10 years at the Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce where he was the past president. He lives in Bradford with his wife Dara, and their two children, Ellery and Mitchell.
