Placing a donated picnic table are Tim Crooks of Georgia Pacific, Ken Stroup of the MJ2KB Trail Club and Cameron Hulse of Georgia Pacific.

MOUNT JEWETT — The Mount Jewett to Kinzua Bridge Trail Club (MJ2KB) received four picnic tables Tuesday, donated by Georgia Pacific’s MDF plant in Mount Jewett.

Amanda Vossler and the company’s employees assembled, stored and delivered them. One table was placed near the Mount Jewett trailhead parking lot at the club’s storage container and another at the end of the trail near the Kinzua Bridge State Park’s Skywalk.

A third will be placed between Mount Jewett and U.S. Route 219 under a roofed pavilion, to be constructed by a scout from Mount Jewett’s Boy Scouts of America Troop # 410 as his Eagle Scout project.

The fourth picnic table will be used for an additional pavilion to be built at a later date.

The club’s first meeting since the pandemic began will be at 7 p.m. today outdoors at the storage container. Meetings are open to the public, and the club will observe social distancing guidelines.
