Dam Show

Darlingtyn sets up to pay tribute to Canned Heat at the 2019 Austin Dam Show entitled “Dam Stock.”

The 2021 Austin Dam Show has been officially announced for Aug. 26-28. According to Dam Show Coordinator, Rich Hadfield, this year’s show is labeled “The Last Rock Show” to “give notice to how fortunate we are to be able to hopefully be back to normal after over a year of dealing with the pandemic.”

The show will pay tribute to some of the best rock bands of the 70s, 80s and 90s, featuring both local artists as well as national touring acts.

The Aug. 26th headliner will be The Clark McLane Band from Jersey Shore, paying tribute to Neil Young. Their latest album “Common Folk” is available now on major online media platforms. The supporting band for the night will be Us and Them out of Philadelphia, paying tribute to Pink Floyd.

The Aug 27th headliner will be Back in Black out of Massachusetts.

“Their high energy production is the longest running AC/DC tribute show in America,” said Hadfield. Supporting Back in Black will be Dustin Douglas and the Electric Gentlemen from Wilkes-Barre, giving homage to Led Zeppelin.

Headlining on the 28th will be the Red Not Chili Peppers.

“Touring out of California, this quartet of talented musicians lays claim to being the number one Red Hot Chili Peppers Tribute band,” said Hadfield.

Closing out the show will be local favorites Marshmellow Overcoat covering R.E.M.

Hadfield noted that the three day festival is centered around coming to Potter County for a weekend of relaxation along with some rock n’ roll.

“Over the past 5 years, The Austin Dam Show has grown into one of the best rock n’ roll tribute shows in Pennsylvania,” he said. “In 2019 the show set a record of near 800 guests when Woodstock was honored.”

Part of the proceeds from the event go to help fund projects at the Austin Dam Memorial Park. Hadfield said The Dam Show has amassed a faithful following of volunteers and attendees who are lovingly known as “The Dam Fam”.

“We invite everyone to come join our growing community of Dam Show faithful who believe in peace, love, and rock n’ roll.”
