A McKean County theft case against an Indiana, Pa., man has been dropped.

Court records indicate the only charge against Mark A. Thompson, 64, — criminal solicitation-theft by unlawful taking, a third-degree felony — was nolle prossed last week.

The charge had stemmed from allegations from March 27, 2019, at an oil lease off U.S. Route 219 in Lafayette Township.

A motion for nolle pros from the District Attorney’s Office stated, “Upon further review of the facts of the case, the Commonwealth believes that it would be unproductive at this time to proceed with the prosecution of this defendant.”

The case is now listed as closed.
