It’s an atmosphere of excitement in downtown Erie as people eagerly await the rally tonight featuring President Donald J. Trump, along with Republicans candidates: for governor, Scott Wagner, and for U.S. Senator, Lou Barletta.
A crowd is lined up, awaiting the doors opening at 4 p.m. The streets are lined with pop-up vendors, selling “Make America Great Again” and other Trump merchandise.
Groups of media walked around with a bit of caution, cognizant of the unpopularity of media members with Trump supporters.
At a nearby sports bar, Chuck & Ginny’s, it was a steady stream of customers, many wearing Trump T-shirts and hats. Outside, pedestrians and groups of police officers headed toward the arena.
