OLEAN, N.Y. — The Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation again will host Nonprofit Networking Day and is seeking members for the event’s planning committee as well as presenters and those wishing to set up displays.
This year’s event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 4 in The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts on the campus of St. Bonaventure University.
Anyone interested in being part of the planning committee, being a presenter or sponsoring a display should contact Foundation Executive Director Karen Niemic Buchheit at karen@cattfoundation.org.
The sixth annual event will offer non-profits from Western New York and northwestern Pennsylvania the opportunity to gather together to connect, discuss ideas and share experiences.
The idea behind Nonprofit Networking Day is to provide insight into the complex world of non-profits, from financial affairs to marketing and communications. A variety of presentations provide a fun and motivational experience for those working in the philanthropic fields, according to Buchheit.
“Nonprofit Networking Day is also is a time for non-profit staff, board members and volunteers take advantage of networking and resource development opportunities at this forum,” Buchheit said.
Information on this year’s keynote speaker and sessions will be announced this summer and registration for the event will open in early fall.
Established in 1994, the Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation is growing good by connecting donors to the causes they care about most in the region. Grants from the Foundation support many areas, including education, scholarships, health care, the arts, community development, human service and youth development.
