There were 80 new cases of COVID-19 for the region in Tuesday’s data from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
McKean County had an additional 28 cases for 2,118 total — 1,693 confirmed and 425 probable, with 8,305 negative tests. Four more deaths were reported, for a total of 37.
Elk County had 37 additional cases for 1,712 total — 1,054 confirmed and 658 probable, with 4,769 negative tests. There have been 23 deaths.
Potter County had 8 additional cases for a total of 716 — 635 confirmed and 81 probable, with 2,675 negative tests. One additional death was reported, for a total of 16.
In Cameron County, there were 7 additional cases for a total of 194 — 140 confirmed and 54 probable, with 806 negative tests. One additional death was reported, for a total of 5. In the state, an additional 227 deaths were reported, for a total of 18,080.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Tuesday indicated there were 7,275 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 733,429.
In Bradford, there were 680 confirmed cases and 125 probable, an increase of 11 since the weekend; Smethport, 224 confirmed, 21 probable; Kane, 247 confirmed, 36 probable; Eldred, 93 confirmed, 14 probable; Lewis Run, 84 confirmed, 167 probable; Port Allegany, 150 confirmed, 11 probable; Mount Jewett, 40 confirmed, 11 probable; Duke Center, 23 confirmed and 6 probable; Rixford, 25 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable; Rew, 22 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable; Cyclone, 13 confirmed and 8 probable; Turtlepoint, 14 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable; Derrick City, 12 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable; Gifford, 10 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable; and Crosby, 6 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable.
In Elk County, St. Marys had 476 confirmed and 259 probable; Ridgway, 237 confirmed, 93 probable; Johnsonburg, 110 confirmed, 45 probable; Kersey, 63 confirmed, 67 probable; Weedville, 56 confirmed, 28 probable; Brockport, 41 confirmed, 25 probable; Sigel, 38 confirmed, 10 probable; Wilcox, 26 confirmed, 17 probable; Benezette, 7 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable; Byrnedale, 5 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable; and James City, 1 to 4 each confirmed and probable.
In Potter County, Coudersport had 253 confirmed and 40 probable; Shinglehouse, 105 confirmed, 16 probable; Austin, 58 confirmed, 16 probable; Galeton, 55 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable; Ulysses, 49 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable; Genesee, 51 confirmed; Harrison Valley, 17 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable; Roulette, 32 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable; Mills, 7 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable; and Cross Fork, 1 to 4 confirmed.
In Cameron County, Emporium had 126 confirmed and 45 probable; Driftwood had 5 confirmed; and Sinnemahoning had 1 to 4 confirmed.
According to the health department there were 5,232 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19, near double the peak in the spring. Of that number, 1,070 patients were in the intensive care unit with COVID-19.
In McKean County, there were 8 patients hospitalized with COVID-19, two in intensive care; Potter County, 5 hospitalized and one in intensive care; and in Elk County, 6 hospitalized.
In nursing and personal care homes, there are 57,724 resident cases of COVID-19, and 10,754 cases among employees, for a total of 68,478 at 1,500 distinct facilities in all 67 counties. Out of our total deaths, 9,418 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities.
In McKean County, nine facilities reported 280 cases among residents, 93 among staff and 26 deaths. In Elk County, three facilities reported 107 cases among residents, 46 among staff and 6 deaths. In Potter County, two facilities reported 29 cases among residents and 14 among staff. In Cameron County, one facility reported 31 cases among residents, 9 among staff and one death.
