After 32 years of serving the taxpayers of Bradford Township, Beth E. Monti announced her retirement as of Jan. 15, with one year left on her elected term.
She will be turning over the responsibility of Bradford Township Tax Collector to Carrie Stiles.
Stiles was appointed to finish out her term by Bradford Township supervisors at the October monthly meeting, starting Jan. 1, and ending Jan. 1, 2022. Stiles has been training since October with Monti.
Stiles’ office will be located at her home at 1443 South Ave., which can be found directly behind the Evans Memorial United Methodist Church in Lewis Run. She will provide handicapped accessible accommodations and her hours will be Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Monti will be spending more time with her family, is hoping to do some volunteer work. She is hoping to continue growing flowers from seeds and plants she gathers in the fall to plant in her 10 plus flower beds around her home that she shares with her husband Bruce of 39 years.
