Barbara Vecellio

Barbara Ann Vecellio, 86, formerly of Droney Road, Gifford, passed away Saturday (Dec. 27, 2025) at Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born Nov. 19, 1939, in Clarion, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Miriam Dean Krafton. Barb graduated from Bradford Area High School in 1957.

On June 6, 1963, in Lewis Run, she married Ronald M. Vecellio, who preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 1997.

Barb was first employed at Forest Oil Co., later for Hounds & Hunting Magazine for 17 years and later at The Guidance Center, from which she retired in 2005 after 28 years. After she retired, she continued in a part-time capacity until 2009.

Barb was a former member of Gifford United Methodist Church for many years until it closed, she then joined Custer City United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Bradford Area Women’s Club, and a volunteer at the Friendship Table and the YWCA.

Surviving are one daughter, Julie Ann Vecellio-Frederico, and one son, Ronald Michael (Joanna) Vecellio Jr., all of Bradford; one grandson, Antonio Michael Vecellio; one granddaughter, Jessica Morton; one brother, Edward Krafton of Phoenix; one sister, Patricia Fox of Rixford; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Ron, she was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Kevin Frederico; one brother-in-law, Danny Fox; and one sister-in-law, Judy Krafton.

Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday (Jan. 2, 2026) at Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 33 South Ave., where funeral services will immediately follow with the Rev. Ernie Perry, pastor of Global Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park Cemetery.
