Cynthia Carinci

PORT ALLEGANY — Cynthia Ann Carinci, 71, of Route 155 passed away unexpectedly Friday, Nov. 14, 2025.

Cynthia was born Oct. 31, 1954, in Olean, N.Y., the daughter of Byron Elwood and Anna Madelon Marvin Lawson. On Nov. 2, 1974, in Derrick City, she married Mark J. Carinci, who predeceased her on March 3, 2021.

Cynthia was a 1972 graduate of Allegany (N.Y.) High School. She worked in a couple of places, including the Shop N Save deli in Port Allegany as a baker, and also in the Port Allegany School cafeteria until her retirement.

Cynthia enjoyed gardening, canning, baking and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Cynthia is survived by two sons, Matthew J. (Jacki) Carinci and Michael J. (Amber) Carinci, both of Port Allegany; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Tyler and Danielle; three brothers, Robert B. Lawson and Thomas A. Lawson, both of Knapp Creek, N.Y., and Timothy L. (Regina) Lawson of Duke Center; and two nieces and a nephew.

Along with her loving husband, Mark, Cynthia was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Brian Edward Lawson.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
