Cubs, Bradford Lighting pick up wins
Sherk’s Landscaping Cubs picked up a pair of wins last week.
In game 1, Sherk’s Landscaping Cubs finished with a score of 12-4 over the Yeagermeister Disposal Braves under the lights at Pitt-Bradford’s softball field.
For Sherk’s Landscaping: Blake Sherk had an RBI, Dremonte Skaggs doubled and had 3 RBIs, Gage Peranio went 2-for-2 with 2 RBIs and Bret Butler added 2 RBIs.
Sherk and Skaggs combined for 9 strikeouts on the mound. For Yeagermeister Disposal, Jack Cannon went 3-for-3 with a triple and 2 RBIs and Asa Johnson doubled.
Bryce Crappio, Callen Means, and Jack Cannon struck out 4 on the mound.
In Game 2, Sherk’s Landscaping Cubs outscored the KOA Indians
8-4. For the Cubs, Nick Popiel had an RBI, Blake Sherk went 2-for-2 with a double, Gary Reid III went 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs, Dremonte Skaggs went 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs and Gage Peranio went 2-for-2 with 2 RBIs.
Cokely, Reid, and Jeremiah Seastrunk struck out four batters on the mound.
For the Indians, Brecken Placer went 3-for-3 with a triple and Tyler Robinson had an RBI.
Placer was on the mound for the Indians, striking out 4.
BRADFORD LIGHTING 13, OTTO-ELDRED 3
Bradford Lighting beat Otto-Eldred in four innings.
Mound win goes to Natalie Shields, her first win of the year. Leah Calkins came in as the relief, securing the game with 7 strikeouts.
At the plate for Bradford Lighting, Calkins belted a three-run triple, Kaelyn Drake and Caydence Shugars each added 2 RBIs and Aubrey Warner and Natalie Shields each had an RBI.
For Otto Eldred, Sophia Schimp blasted a homerun.
RED 6, SMETHPORT 4
Safelite Autoglass Red beat Smethport 6-4 Winning Pitchers were Griffin Atteberry, Bentlee Confer, Rowan Colbert and Brock Crappio, who combined for 14 strikeouts.
Elijah Lewis went 3-for-3 with a triple, double and 1 RBI; Bentlee Confer was 3-for-4 with a double; Will Pantuso went 2-for-3 with a double; and Brock Crappio, Griffin Atteberry and Max Puglio each had an RBI.
Losing pitchers were Kaiden Pattakos, Derek Bachman and Carson Tronetti.
