Bradford soccer teams start season strong
BRADFORD U10 TEAMS END GAME IN 1-1 TIE It was a stalemate in the end for two of the Bradford United Soccer U10 teams, as United U10 McGinnis/ Doriguzzi drew 1-1 with U10 Medina/Lang on a muddy Gleason Field Wednesday night.
After a scoreless first half, Mason Lang opened the scoring with a strike from just outside the penalty spot to claim the lead, before clattering a second effort off the goalpost just a few moments later!
Kennedy McGinnis drew the match even with a fine effort from just inside the crowded goal box. A frantic finish from both teams saw attempts from Aizlynn Dynda and Izzy Vinelli going denied to share the draw amongst the teams.
Both goalies held firm in the spotlight, with Brielle Willard making 6 saves and Grayson Kirsch stopping 8 shots.
BRADFORD UNITED U12 GIRLS DEFEAT FREWSBURG SC 11-1 Our Bradford United Soccer U12 Girls started the season with a great team effort in an 11-1 victory over Frewsburg SC.
Zoe Rice netted a hat trick, Ali Placer & Ellie Sheeley each had two goals in the cold and rain. Ellie Spehar, Abigail Carlson, Sadie Gilligan and Gwyneth Neighbour also contributed to the scoring and put one in the net!
Akacia Dynda had 8 saves in goal.
U12 BOYS CLAIM 6-0 VICTORY OVER STFC The Bradford United Soccer U12 boys claimed a 6-0 win Wednesday, defeating Southern Tier Football Club with a combined 13 shots on goal!
Ryan Feely (3) & Blake Nelson (2) came up big in goal today with some saves. Goals were scored by Mason Poling (2), Declan Dragoone (2), Chael Johnson (1) and Conley Swanson (1).
Assists were provided by Landon Fitzpatrick (2), Jack Morrison (1), Cameron Butler (1), Conley Swanson (1) and Declan Dragoone (1).
