Wake up, America!
I miss the America I grew up in where people aren’t bought and sold politically on a daily basis. As children, our parents stressed the importance of knowing the difference between right and wrong and living by that principle.
Where did we take a wrong turn to not stand up to a bully, knowing that if we give him our lunch money just once, history will surely repeat itself? Our country has fallen prey to the power of money and influence and the fear of political retribution. Our current leader has been crowned, by our submissiveness, to be a chess master.
It is not too late to set the alarm and respond with strength and swiftness to really “Make America Great Again.” This is not just a cute slogan, but the reality of what America once represented to the world.
Leadership implies the ability to lead. Isn’t it time to lead? FDR once said, “We have nothing to fear but fear itself.” Wake up, America, before it’s too late! I never understood how Hitler rose to power the way he did until now.
Seriously — see any similarities?
