Summer concerts are on schedule at Crook Farm 476 Seaward Ave., in Foster Township this summer.
From 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, come out and enjoy a free concert by the WNY Fiddle Kids. The WNY Fiddle Kids are all private violin/fiddle students of Heather Pennington. They travel from Springville, East Concord, East Aurora, Orchard Park, Delevan, West Valley and Java, N.Y. and range from age 7-16. Admission is free but donations are gratefully accepted.
The Old Time Square Dance Social is scheduled for Friday, August 19. The social begins at 6 p.m. with a potluck, pizza and chicken provided, bring a salad or dessert; followed by hard driving fiddle tunes by Sean, Henry & Jaie at 7 p.m. and Southern Squares, two-steps, waltzes and hoedowns at 7:30 p.m.
Crooktop Old Time Music Festival returns from August 25 to 28 with a focus on the traditional, Old Time acoustic music community. Many musicians and locals come to jam with their friends to relax over four fun-filled days. A weekend of camping, jamming and enjoying the music. New this year, on-site showers. The “Old Time Music Festival” area (out back) will be mostly unchanged, but less organized and more spontaneous, according to the website, crooktop.com At 7 p.m. on Thursday, “Country” Jam starts off the festival, the rest of the weekend is up to attendees. A Sunday morning breakfast provided by Bradford Landmark will be available for those with tickets. Purchase them on Saturday.
