The public is invited to attend a Senior Expo at the Coudersport Arboretum from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday, July 18. A rain date is scheduled for Tuesday, July 19.
Stroll through the beautiful Memorial Arboretum Gardens, along the Honor Walk and Veterans Honor Wall while visiting over 20 vendor tables displaying services and products that assist older adults. There are plenty of memorial benches throughout the arboretum to relax and enjoy the day.
Vendors in attendance include, Potter County Human Services Area Agency on Aging, Cole Care, AARP, UPMC Cole senior communities, UPMC Cole health plan, COVID-19 Advisory Group, senior centers, Age In Place Home Care, Silver Maples/Oswayo Apartments, Sweden Valley Manor, Arcadia Home Care, Volunteers That Care, A Way Out, Fickinger Funeral Home, Olney-Foust Funeral Home & Cremation, Virgil Howard Funeral Home, and others.
Additionally, a representative from the office of Rep. Martin Causer, R-Turtlepoint will be in attendance.
Farm market checks will be available, as well as information about the ombudsman program.
UPMC Cole staff will hold a COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine clinic at the Senior Expo. Senior citizens who need transportation to the vaccine clinic can call Potter County Human Services at (814) 544-7315 to arrange transportation.
The Potter County COVID-19 Advisory Group, funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, will be providing gift cards for anyone receiving a COVID-19 vaccine or booster shot at the event.
Door prizes and refreshments will be available. The Senior Expo is sponsored by the Coudersport Arboretum Association and in collaboration with Potter County Human Services Area Agency on Aging.
