A Bradford man has been arrested for allegations he broke into the restaurant where he worked and stole money from the register.
Menton Peter Harding, 27, of 12 ½ Kennedy St., is charged with burglary, a second-degree felony; and theft by unlawful taking, a second-degree misdemeanor, court records stated.
According to court records, in the early morning hours of Sept. 20, Harding entered Kabob’s at the Option House, 41 Main St., through a side door, covered his face with a sweatshirt, moved all the cameras in the restaurant and pulled the circuit breaker in the kitchen.
Harding then took seven $10 bills — $70 — from the cash register, court records stated.
Court records indicate restaurant owner Sheikh Iqbal identified Harding by a camera pointed at the cash register, and a Northwest Savings Bank camera showed Harding leaving the back of the restaurant and go toward Boylston/Pine streets; someone matching his description was seen entering and exiting the Corner Bar a short time later on a city camera and later entering Country Fair on a Country Fair camera.
Harding was employed by the restaurant at the time of the alleged burglary, court records stated.
He was released on $5,000 unsecured bail, and he is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Oct. 22.
