RIDGWAY — Stephanie Hetrick, RN, has been presented with the annual Elizabeth “Sis” Simons Memorial Award by the board of the Dickinson Center Inc.
The award recognizes a DCI direct service employee who consistently goes above and beyond in the performance of his/her duties. Hetrick was nominated by Angela Chew, DCI’s clinical director. Hetrick serves has DCI’s wellness nurse and leads their Behavioral Health Home Plus program. Her leadership and advocacy for integrated health services have resulted in significant positive outcomes for case management consumers including weight loss, reduced reliance on medication, and improved overall health and wellness.
Heidi Thomas, DCI’s Executive Director, said, “Stephanie exemplifies our core values of compassion, excellence, and hope in her work with individuals in Elk and Cameron counties. She is passionate about wellness and her energy and enthusiasm are contagious.”
Hetrick received a monetary gift, an engraved clock from Elkwood Arts, and will have her name engraved on the Elizabeth “Sis” Simons Memorial Award plaque displayed at Dickinson Center‘s main office in Ridgway.
Simons was a founding member of the original Dickinson Board of Governors and served for over four decades demonstrating exemplary leadership, public relations, caring, and dedication to Dickinson’s mission.
