Former Bradford resident, Carol Susan “Sue” Johnson, Ph.D., RN, FAAN has been inducted as a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing in Washington, D.C.
Academy Fellows are nursing’s most accomplished leaders in education, management, practice, and research. Johnson is nationally recognized for her expertise in continuing education and professional development. She is the author of four books and an advocate for nursing education and certification. She is believed to be the first Bradford native to receive this honor.
Johnson, the daughter of Charles L. and Margaret M. Johnson, was born and raised in Bradford, graduating from Bradford Area High School and the nursing program at Jamestown Community College, Jamestown, N.Y. She currently resides in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
