RIDGWAY — A known Byrnedale man, age 24, was arrested June 4 and arraigned on charges of strangulation, simple assault and terroristic threats.
According to Ridgway-based state police, an investigation occurred on June 4 related to an incident June 2. Reports say a 25-year-old female reported her ex-boyfriend assaulted her at her residence at 9:30 a.m. Police say the victim reported she was strangled around her neck, to the point where she could not breathe. The victim also reported being struck several times by the same individual.
Police say the victim reported being threatened by the same individual on June 4, where he threatened to strangle her to death when she returned home from work.
The Byrnedale man was remanded to Elk County Jail, with bail set at $7,500 cash.
