CLEARFIELD — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is alerting area drivers that a bridge on Route 4025 (Brizzie Hollow) in Oswayo Township is open to traffic.

The bridge has been closed since mid-June, when replacement work got underway. The bridge spans Hemlock Hollow Run near Oswayo Borough. Replacing the bridge allows PennDOT to remove it from Potter County’s list of bridges in poor condition.

Once the bridge is open, the detour that has been in place will be lifted. The detour directs drivers to use Route 244, Route 44, and Route 4023 (Eleven Mile Road).

Signage will be in place alerting drivers that guide rail at the bridge is not yet in place. Paving of the bridge deck and approaches is also pending. Drivers should anticipate roadway flagging and short delays in the coming weeks as that work takes place.

This project has been a joint effort between Pro-Cut Concrete of Mechanicsburg and PennDOT Potter County Maintenance. The beams for the new structure were fabricated by PennDOT Bradford County Maintenance.
